About Us…
Moorflix was setup in June 2010 (originally as Temple Community Cinema) to show quality films to the South Midlothian community. It is a non-profit making organisation run by volunteers. We show films once or twice a month from September to June, with one-off films and children’s matinees every so often.
After only one season, we won the 2011 BFFS Jim Dempster Award for Innovation and received a commendation for the Best New Society.
As the Covid-19 Pandemic took hold in Scotland in March 2020, we took the difficult decision to suspend all our showings. In September 2023 Moorflix finally restarted film showings.

Communications
In addition to us sending regular email newsletters, we also host a facebook page where we can make smaller announcements and invite people to discuss the cinema and the films we show.
