Where are we?
Moorflix began in 2010 as Temple Community Cinema showing in Temple Village Hall, however the hall was in refurbishment until month 7 of our first season! Since we did not want to wait 7 months to show a film, we decided to alternate showings in 2 other Moorfoot villages, Carrington and North Middleton. During those 7 months we gained audiences from all of the villages so after Season 1 was complete, we decided to rename to Moorflix and continue to show in each of the villages.
Subsequently attendance at Carrington and North Middleton dropped so we took the decision to show only at Temple Village Hall. We would also consider showing in the other villages if we could at least cover the costs so welcome any discussions about resuming showings there.
Carrington Village Hall
For Carrington, coming from Temple you would take a left turn at the main Carrington “crossroads” then continue to the village boundary and turn right in to the car park.
Middleton Village Hall – EH23 4QU
For Middleton, you would continue down the A7 until reaching North Middleton turning left into the village, then first left and you will see the hall to your left.
Temple Village Hall – EH23 4SQ
For Temple, you would turn off the A7 at the Harvieston Toll crossroads (south of Gorebridge) and travel about 2 miles along the B6372. Take a left at the split junction up the hill to Temple – the village hall is on the right about half way through the village.
